About Us
Sattur original match company Unit-R is a Fourth-Generation company. We are proud to say that our company is the Pioneers in Manufacturing Safety Matches. We are one among very few who manufacture Veneer Matches. Manufacturing Matches are more than our Business, It’s Our Passion. We traveled through generations because of our focus on quality and unique products.From 2020 Sattur Original Match Company is becoming a fourth generation company. Being unique in the industry is our ultimate goal.We aim towards Exclusive Products with high quality standards and work to satisfy the customer's needs.
Founding of Somco December 1933 Mr V. Rajamoney founded M/s Sattur Original Match Company on December 16th 1933 at a small town in south India called SATTUR. He completed a B.A. degree in English Literature and worked at the West Indian Match Company in Kolkata for some time and the returned to Sattur. He started the first handmade match manufacturing unit in Sattur.
Unique Products We creatively design different varieties of matches. We are the only manufactures of TIN matches, which is made mainly for spiritual and kitchen use. Then we have Home matches which are also special in its category. Then we have 80 sticks matches with a special type of packing which is not available with any company in the industry. We have variety in all type of safety matches to cater to all type of markets.
